The biggest names in the multiplayer FPS space are set to launch new series entries in the form of Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and the yet-to-be-unveiled Battlefield 6 very soon. But there are plenty of other free options within the genre to check out in the meantime. Just yesterday, for instance, Rainbow Six Siege X came out and, going by its recent resurgence on Steam, the Delta Force revival put out late last year is doing better than ever before.
Though the FPS game has struggled somewhat with player reception, its current rating sitting at 63% or 'Mixed' on Steam, Delta Force is still managing to attract a massive audience, in part due to the regular updates and additions consistently introduced to the game.
Its most recent update, which added in the strategic, limited-time Victory Unite mode, seems to have helped, swelling Delta Force's player base. At the time of writing, 73,892 players are active in the game, but, within the last few days, it's reached a new all-time peak of 160,918 players. This is a solid sign for Delta Force's health, and a good reason to hop in now if you've been curious to try it out for yourself.
