A month or two back, a Dead or Alive developer warned modders to tweak their new game in "good moral and manner". But it's not nude mods players will be concerned with today - rather fixes for some of the basic features that have turned up on PC a month late in sorry state or not at all.
You'll find Dead or Alive 5: Last Round on Steam. What you won't find is online multiplayer - expected to arrive as a patch "within three months". In recognition of that disappointment, publisher Koei Tecmo have announced that the game will be 10% off until the update appears.
But there are other issues, like the graphics effects listed as "equivalent to the PS3 version" - unlike the shadows, which are comparable to those on the PS4. And two stages, Crimson and the Danger Zone, which haven't shown up.
There's no key customisation , and the Soft Engine used to soften the appearance of character skin looks to be absent too.
Steam Achievements are a non-starter - though there is for anti-aliasing and resolutions up to 4K if that helps.
Dead or Alive 5 launched on the consoles on February 20th. Had you been waiting for an ideally superior PC version?
